Eucalyptus Honey

The balsam of green Sardinia

Eucalyptus was introduced to Sardinia in the nineteenth century to reclaim the malarial areas. Within decades it became an integral part of the Sardinian landscape: silver forests smelling of menthol, summer refuges for bees.

Today Sardinian eucalyptus is different from the Australian one — centuries of adaptation to the Mediterranean climate have made its nectar sweeter, its balsamic properties more moderate and refined.

Our eucalyptus honey is harvested in the forests of Nuorese and Ogliastra, far from any pollution. Medium amber, balsamic and mentholated notes that don't weigh down, the simplicity of an uncontaminated territory.

Tasting notes

Balsamic and mentholated with soft sweetness. Notes of resin, eucalyptus, fresh mint. Less aggressive than Australian eucalyptus — more elegant.
